The Junior College team which won the HSBC Young Enterprise Company of the Year 2009 recently visited President of the Republic George Abela at the Palace in Valletta. Also present for the official visit was Education Minister Dolores Cristina.

The students will soon be leaving for Rotterdam, The Netherlands, to represent Malta at the Junior Achievement Young Enterprise European Company of the Year Award between July 2-5.

The team, U-Knighted, won over another nine companies participating in this year’s Young Enterprise programme, with an original Maltese board game named Melita and Gaudos.

Accompanied by Junior Achievement Young Enterprise Malta Chairman Josef Camilleri, CEO Karl Briffa and Junior College Head Godfrey Muscat, the students presented President Abela with the game and explained its aim to further education in Maltese culture and heritage through play.
