A number of catering establishments in Valletta have been issued warnings ordering them to remove tables and chairs from the pavement within 48 hours as these are in breach of their permits.
The letters are demanding that the owners of the establishments regularize their position within the set time limit and are being warned that failure to do so will result in consequences.
Similar actions by the Government Property Division have already been taken in the past few weeks in various localities including Marsascala, Xlendi, Birzebbugia and Sliema among others.
