Italy grateful for Malta’s help to earthquake victims

Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini has expressed Italy’s gratitude for Malta’s assistance given to the victims of the recent earthquake in Abruzzo. In his letter to Malta’s Foreign Minister Tonio Borg, he also thanked Malta for condolences for the people who lost their lives in the tragedy.
Mr Frattini said he appreciated the friendship the Maltese showed during such a difficult moment which confirmed the solid unity between the two countries.
On his part Italian Ambassador Paolo Andrea Trabalza also thanked the Maltese people and mentioned the Malta Civil Protection Department and the Malta Red Cross.
