MHRA welcomes return of British Airways to Malta
The Malta Hotels & Restaurants Association (MHRA) has expressed satisfaction at the announcement of the return of British Airways to Malta. MHRA remarks that UK is a critical source market with great potential for the Maltese Islands and therefore the return of British Airways will also help the industry as whole to grow connectivity.
Mr Tony Zahra MHRA President said, “The return of British Airways has two positives as it brings yet another airline servicing Malta while it offers better connectivity that should further support the growth of both the leisure and the conference sectors from UK and beyond. ”MHRA has continuously maintained that the success of the tourism industry depends substantially on increased seat capacity. Mr Zahra augured that more routes and airlines will be added.
The MHRA congratulates all involved, in particular MTA and MIA, for making this possible and encourages all involved in the tourism industry to take full advantage in order to ensure that the tourism industry keeps growing.
