Foreign Affairs minister visits Luxembourg and Paris
Dr. George Vella, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will be travelling to Luxembourg on Sunday to participate in the Foreign Affairs Council and the General Affairs Council of the European Union.
During the council various EU matters will be discussed. While in Luxembourg, Minister Vella is also expected to have the opportunity to meet with members of the Maltese Community. He is then expected to travel to Paris on an official visit as a member of the delegation headed by the Prime Minister Joseph Muscat. During this visit, Minister Vella is expected to have official talks with various members of the French Government as well as M. Darniche, President of the Malta-France Friendship Group of the Senate, and M. Philippe Prat, President of the France-Malta Friendship Group of the Assemblée National. Minister Vella will also be accompanying the Prime Minister at his official meeting with the President of the Republic of France, François Hollande.
While in Paris, Minister Vella will also be attending a concert, organised by the Embassy of Malta in Paris, by the Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja at the St. Louis Cathedral.
