An 82-year-old woman was critically injured when she was hit by a car while crossing Borg Olivier Street, St Julian’s, on Monday morning.

The police confirmed the incident occurred at around 10:15hrs CET when the woman was hit by a Toyota Ractis driven by an 80 year old man from Sta Venera.

She was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital where she is being treated at the intensive care unit.

Further investigations are underway.
