SmartCity Malta strategic marketing plan, budget and increased equity for 2009 were approved by the board of directors on Tuesday.

Fareed Abdulrahman, CEO of SmartCity, said that they were happy with the operation plan was approved for 2009 and that they were ready for the challenging role of attracting business partners and support in Malta.

He also added that they will continue to engage in international marketing programme to disseminate the value proposition of Malta and SmartCity Malta.

Claudio Grech, CEO of SmartCity Malta, said that Phase One will take place in 2009 in preparation to host ICT and media partners by 2010.
