Man arrested for suspected cocaine possession

A 31-year-old man from Zebbug, Gozo, was arrested after the police found a substance, which is thought to be cocaine and several items related to drugs, in his garage on Thursday.
The police said that at around 22:30hrs CET they were informed that a person was in possession of drugs at Triq il-Kappillan F Debono in Marsalforn.
When they arrived on site they stopped a suspicious looking man who, on seeing the police, was seen throwing something away.
His garage was then searched.
An inquiry is being held.
