On Friday afternoon a 26-year-old man from Marsascala was seriously injured in a collision with an Arriva bus, driven by a 24-year-old man from Imqabba.

The police confirmed that the accident took place in Mqabba at about 11.15hrs CEST. There were no passengers on board of the route bus.

Members of the Civil Protection Department removed the man from the wreckage and rushed him to the Mater Dei hospital where he is being treated for serious but not life threatening injuries.
