Traditional motorcycle, bicycle pilgrimage in Zabbar
The feast of Our Lady of Graces in Zabbar will be celebrated on Sunday 11th September with the traditional motorcycle and bicycle pilgrimage, now in its 60th year.
Motorcyclists will depart from Mosta at 0945 CEST and pass from Triq id-Difiża Ċivili, and Constitution Street, then through Regional Road in Birkirkara, St Julians, Spinola, Sliema front, Gżira, Msida, Floriana, Valletta, Floriana, Ħamrun, Marsa, Paola, Senglea, Cospicua, Fgura and Żabbar.
On the other hand, cyclists will leave from Rabat at 0930 CEST and cycle along Saqqajja, Attard, Lija, Balzan, Birkirkara, Valley Road, Santa Venera, Fleur-de-Lys, Ħamrun, Qormi, Marsa, Paola, Tarxien, Fgura and Żabbar.
Both pilgrimages will meet at Fgura and will proceed to Żabbar Sanctuary together. Participants are reminded that they are to wear appropriately and wear a crash helmet.
