A man and a woman were found dead in Wardija and Mellieha respectively.

The police confirmed that the man who is believed to have committed suicide was found dead at San Martin, near Wardija on Monday. His partner was then found dead on Tuesday morning at Mellieha.

The female corpse was found by the police when they called at her home as part of their investigations into the man’s death.

The woman appeared to have suffered several stab wounds.

A magisterial inquiry has been set.
