Conditional discharges after court hearings
On Friday 22-year-old Shaun Borg from Luqa was accused in court of assaulting three police officers and damaging a car outside a bar in Zejtun on March 31. Whereas 32 year-old Gilbert Dimech from Santa Venera and 31-year-old Freddie Mansuetto from Birkirkara were charged with threatening three police officers and disobeying their orders inside a bar on 29 march.
Shaun Borg was also charged with threatening one of the police officers, disobeying police orders and disturbing the peace. He was granted bail against a personal guarantee of €5,000.
Gibert Dimech and Freddie Mansuetto were charged with threatening three police officers on the 29th of March when police officers asked them to turn down the music when they were doing the rounds at about 01:20hrs CEST and realised that The Godfather bar was still open and loud music was being played. According to the trade licence, the bar can only remain open until 01:00hrs CEST.
On the other Thursday 33-year-old Alan O’Connor from Dublin was conditionally discharged for six months after he pleaded guilty to being in possession of three ecstasy pills, on the night between March 30 and 31.
