Tourist hit by car crash

A 35-year-old Spanish tourist was hospitalised for face injuries, following a car crash at The Strand in Gzira.
The police said a 35-year-old man from Sudan, and resident in Zurrieq, was driving a Daewoo Racer when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into three parked cars. A woman who was on the pavement sustained face injuries.
The woman was taken to Mater Dei hospital where she is being treated, her condition is stable.
The driver is also being treated at Mater Dei.
Further police investigations are underway.
