The Auditor General, Anthony Mifsud, has presented the Annual Audit Report on the Public Accounts to the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

A number of abnormalities were found after the report on public accounts was presented for verification.

A number of ministries and departments have failed to provide a detailed financial report; these include local councils and the foreign ministry amongst other.

Amongst other companies who sustained losses the Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) has sustained a loss of more than €132,000 for the Eurovision organisation.
