Seven people were arrested on drug possession and trafficking charges over the weekend.

Three young men from Ta’ Xbiex were arrested early on Saturday morning after they were found to be in possession of cannabis resin in Ta’ Xbiex. They are 18 to 26 years old. A 31-year-old man from Zebbug was also arrested on Saturday afternoon in Hamrun for trafficking in heroin.

Meanwhile, a 40-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman, both from Hamrun, were arrested for trafficking in heroin. They were also carrying a considerable amount of money. A 50-year-old man from Hamrun was also arrested in Hamrun for being in possession of heroin.
