Video: Jeweller injured in failed hold-up

A 79-year-old man was injured in a failed hold-up at a jewellery shop in Santa Lucija Street in Valletta early on Saturday morning.
The police reported that three armed men entered the shop at around 07:45 CEST. The jeweller resisted and a shot was fired but did not hit anyone. At this point, one of the thieves hit the jeweller with a hard object.
The jeweller was taken to hospital in an ambulance for treatment. Nothing was stolen from the shop.
