Woman charged with fraud

A 30-year-old woman from Zurrieq was charged with trying to defraud another person. She pleaded not guilty and was granted bail against a personal guarantee of €4,000. The accused was also charged with threatening to defame the victim.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Christian Debono and his 17-year-old friend, both from Fgura, were placed under probation for two years after the two young men pleaded guilty to breaking into MCAST premises in Paola in an attempt to steal tools. They were seen by a security officer who locked the accused inside and called the police.
