A man was arrested soon after robbing a lotto office in Burmarrad late on Wednesday afternoon thanks to a description of the robber provided by the general public.

The police reported that a man entered the lotto office in Burmarrad at around 17:30 CEST on Wednesday. He was armed with a knife.

A police patrol unit was dispatched soon after with the police arresting the man in the area known as Telgha t’Alla u Ommu in Naxxar. Items stolen from the lotto office were found in his car.
