GO to offer Italian football club channels
GO announced it has acquired the rights to air exclusively the Italian club channels of Juventus, Inter, Milan and Roma. The transmission of these channels will be made available in the coming weeks. GO already owns the exclusive rights to the English club channels of Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool and to the English Premier League and Italian Serie A.
The company said in a statement that meanwhile, following three sessions of the Parliamentary Social Affairs Committee which discussed the possibility that operators grant football rights to third parties, the Committee was adjourned sine die. GO took an active part in the lengthy Social Affairs Committee’s discussions on the matter which, however, were not conclusive, the company said.
As of August, GO customers can enjoy the English Premier League and Italian Serie A live and exclusively on GO sports channels.
This in addition to a host of other exclusive sporting events such as Formula 1, a selection of Euro 2012 qualifiers, the English FA Cup, international rugby such as the Guinness Premiership, Heineken Cup and Rugby 6 Nations; international golf including the British Open, PGA European Tour, and the Ryder Cup; international tennis such as Tennis ATP 1000, 500 and 250 series as well as the Davis Cup and Fed Cup. Other exclusive sports content includes athletics’ IAAF Diamond League, horseracing and boxing.
GO sports is available for only €19.99 a month, and new subscribers who sign up to GO sports have the opportunity to share the outstanding experience of sports action at its best and even benefit from 2 free set-top boxes and free installation.
