A 24 year old man, from Libya but resident in Gzira, was admitted to the Mater Dei suffering from serious injuries on Wednesday evening after passers-by called an ambulance in Sliema road, Gzira.

His conditions have since stabilized.

The police are still investigating the circumstances that led to the injuries.

Magistrate Dr. Michael Mallia ordered an inquiry
