Local band Wintermoods have been presented with the first Legends’ Award at the Malta Music Awards 2008 (MMA) for their long-standing career which spans more than two decades.

The band also won the Best Band award, the fifth in their career. The occassion was marked with a snapshot of Wintermoods’ career from their early garage days in Senglea to their recent album ‘Ordinary Man’.

Commenting after the awards Ivan Grech said he was honoured to receive both the Legends’ Award and the Best Band Award. He also thanked their loyal fans for their support and encouragement.

Last week Winter Moods released a video of their summer hit song ‘Hang On To Your Smile’.

The MMAs will be shown on TVM this Thursday 4th December at 8:40pm.
