Gonzi congratulates new British PM
Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi has congratulated the UK Prime Minister David Cameron on his new appointment.
In his letter to UK Prime Minister David Cameron, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi wrote: ”I am certain that the traditionally excellent bilateral relations between Malta and the United Kingdom will be further strengthened for the common benefit of our peoples.”
“I look forward to working with you and your government to intensify such relations, to strengthen the European Union and to address current key issues and challenges within the regional and the international context in furtherance of our mutual interest,” Dr Gonzi added.
He concluded by wishing the new British Prime Minister “every success in your future endeavours, and in looking forward to meeting you in the near future.”
