A 28-year-old woman from Rabat was seriously injured on early Wednesday morning after she was stabbed by an armed man.

The police reported that the woman was walking along Belvedere Road in Gzira at around 06:30 CEST when she was stopped by a man with a knife. The woman was rushed to hospital where it was certified that she was seriously injured but not in danger of dying.
