A 73-year-old man was killed when he was run over by a car in Valletta Road in Attard on Friday morning. He had just bought 10 ‘imqaret’ from a kiosk on the road-side.

The police reported that the man had been crossing the road at around 10:50 CET when he was run over by a Fiat Punto car driven by a man from Rabat. He was taken to hospital where he died soon after.
