Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi has left Malta for Spain where he will be having talks with Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Zapatero.

This meeting is taking place since Spain will be taking over the EU presidency in January. The leaders will discuss Spain’s priorities for its presidency, especially the implementation of the Lisbon Treaty.

Also on the agenda is business and tourism between Malta and Spain and also the good relations between Malta and Spain that go back some 26 years.
