21-year-old Alison Galea from Attard will be taking part in the Miss Earth 2009 beauty contest in the Philippines. This contest is considered the third most important beauty contest in the world after Miss World and Miss Universe.

However, unlike other similar contests, they will not be judged only on beauty but also on the environmental project they will be presenting.
