Criminal reports down by 25%

Criminal reports have dropped by 25% between 2005 and 2008, the Justice and Home Affairs Ministry said on Sunday.
The number of reports decreased by 4,658. Statistics collected by the Ministry revealed that 18,461 reports were made in 2004 and these dropped to 13,803 in 2008.
The biggest drop was in theft and damage to property reports. Reports on theft alone decreased by more than 3,000 however a marginal increase was reported in cases related to fraud and drugs.
