The 2008/2009 White Hart Hockey Club team was recently presented to a packed house of players, team executives, supporters and friends during the team launch held at the Kordin National Hockey Complex. The event also marked the beginning of a new sponsorship agreement between White Hart HC and local insurance agency Laferla Insurance. The three year sponsorship deal is a sign of the belief in the new set up of White Hart which has put its focus on accelerating the growth of its youthful team.

The new team kit, which prominently features the Laferla Insurance logo, was also presented to the players by Laferla Insurance managing director Mr. Mark Laferla. Club president Chris Busuttil Leaver assured those present that Laferla sponsorship goes a long way in helping to promote both hockey as a sport as well as White Hart’s efforts to improve results.

In team captain Alain Vella’s words, “the club has firmly set its sight on the long overdue task of bringing the silverware back home”. The team committee thanked the sponsor and all those involved in seeing to the club’s wellbeing for their invaluable support.
