Julie Ann Zahra, Jimi Savage in concert
Musical Identity UK proudly presents Julie Ann Zahra and Jimi Savage at St James’ Cavalier on the 22nd and 23rd August.
The elegant theatre will be the intimate backdrop for the concert. This will consist mainly of a repertoire of original arrangements of popular Jazz numbers, and Pop and Funk melodies, including original interpretations of songs from icons such as Nina Simone, Diana Krall, Alicia Keys and many others.
Julie will also be performing her new original song Cloudy Sky for the first time in public. Lyrics are by Joe Julian Farrugia, and the music is a collaboration between Owen C and Jimi Savage, with whom she will be performing.
The August concert will be mainly acoustic, albeit with occasional use of semi-acoustic guitars.
Julie had moved to the UK to further her education and to advance her music career to a new level. She is currently working on an LRSM from the Royal School of Music, and she also teaches Music at All Saints College, in Newcastle.
Julie’s latest release, No One In Heaven attracted favourable reviews from the critics, and valuable musical interest from established professionals in the United Kingdom. Through Musical Identity, Julie is actively recording and performing with guitar virtuoso Jimi Savage. She has also had the opportunity to perform alongside Claude Werner at the world-class venue The Sage Gateshead.
Jimi Savage has worked with the likes of Joe Satriani, Vinnie Moore, John Petrucci, Richie Sambora, and other world-class artistes. Undoubtedly he and Julie will provide a night to remember.
Tickets are available from the St James Cavalier booking office at €15 per person. Tickets are limited to 250 spread over the two days.
