A Horn Trio Recital by Etienne Cutajar (horn), Thomas Gould (violin) and John Reid (piano) produced a romantic evening at the President’s Palace Courtyard in Valletta. Besides other works, they performed the Horn Trio in E flat major by Johannes Brahms in 1865.

This was a rather unusual chamber combination by Johannes Brahms, which then triggered the imagination of a number of composers of the 20th century to explore further the potential of the three instruments when brought together as an ensemble.
