Outbound travel on the rise
Outbound tourist trips during May were estimated at 21,043, up by 12.4 per cent over the corresponding month last year, the NSO revealed on Wednesday. Same-day visitor trips increased to 4,791.

Employment in selected service increase slightly - NSO
Data released by the National Statistics Office (NSO) on Monday reveal that in the first quarter of 2011, turnover and employment in selected services activities went up by 5.6 per cent and 0.2 per cent respectively.

Provisional data published by the National Statistics Office (NSO) on Tuesday show that industrial production went down by 0.8 per cent in May over the corresponding month last year.
