No cases of E. Coli reported in Malta
As of 25 May 2011 an outbreak of E. Coli has become apparent in northern Germany. Some isolated cases have now been identified in other EU countries. Health protocol agreement with Italy
The Hon. Joseph Cassar, Minister for Health, the Elderly and Community Care led a Maltese delegation to Rome for talks following the bilateral agreement in the health sector which had been signed in Malta in December 2009.

Hospital treating 300 flu patients per day
The Health Department has said that the Emergency Department is treating around 300 patients every day due to the current severe outbreak of influenza.
